NHL 09 - How to setup multiple Be A Pro characters

Well if you're like me and got competely screwed on your first Be A Pro career, (NHL 09 - My First Career in Be a Pro Mode), you're probably wondering, can I start a new character without losing my old one and how?  It turns out, yes...well sorta.

Your current Be A Pro character is tied to a specific save game.  Whenever you go to play him you're going to Game Mode>Be A Pro>Load

With that in mind, just go to Game Mode>Be A Pro>New and it will create a new player complete with a different play style and career path.  It will ask you to name that save file on creation so you'll be able to go back and forth whenever.

They only thing that it seems you can't do is have two different looks.  You'll still have the same name and look...but play style and position WILL be different.

NHL 09 - How to upload a clip and complete the show off achievement

To complete the "show off" achievement, you need to share a video by uploading it to EA Sports.

To do that, you need an account with EA SportsTM World and link it up with your Xbox Live account.  If you don't already have this, head over to www.easportsworld.com now to set that up.

Once you have your account setup, start a game in NHL 09 and while in a game, press Start.
Go to Instant Replay.

While in Instant Replay mode, use the Left and Right Triggers to fast forward and rewind.

Now you need to create a smaller clip to actually upload.  To do this, select a point in your replay and press X to set marker #1.

Select another point and press X to set marker #2.

The clip in between those two markers is what will actually get uploaded.

You can skip the next few steps if you just want to get the achievement but if you're interested, at this point you can edit your clip.  To do this, simply fast forward or rewind to a point in your clip and press Y to edit the clip.

Once in edit mode you can use the Left and Right sticks to move the camera around.  Zoom and height of the camera are controlled with the D-pad.  Pressing X will adjust the speed at which the video is played back.

When you are finished editing the clip, press B.

Now you're ready to upload you clip, simply press B again and a popup box will come up.  Select Upload to EA SportsTM World.

The video will now encode and upload.  You'll have to select a name for it.

After the video is uploaded, it will be available on your EA Sports World account for you to share with the world and you should have unlocked the "show off" achievement.

NHL 09 - Poke Check The Goalie for a Goal

It's actually amazing how often you can poke the puck out of the goalie's grasp and into the net.  This video is just another example of coming out of the blue and sticking your stick where it doesn't belong.
